Making the opportunities created by STEM education accessible to all

OUR MISSION

STEM education creates great opportunity in our country. As a tech company founder and CEO, I’ve seen this first hand. I’ve also seen that careers in tech-driven industries are not equally accessible to all. The path is much more difficult for – and often not visible to – people in lower income or underserved communities.

I founded STEMatch to change this, through company-school collaborations that inspire and support students to pursue STEM education and careers. Whether it’s educating middle school students on the possibilities for them in the tech world, before they lose interest in science and math; or creating new pathways to high paying tech jobs for people who can’t afford the cost or time out of the workforce for a 4-year college degree.

Opportunity inequality is incompatible with the promise of America, and creates great divisions in our country. STEM education and industries can change this. Everyone should have the opportunity to build financial security for their family in the 21st century, tech-driven economy - regardless of their zip code, the color of their skin, or their family’s financial situation.
